John Harvey Travis died last evening at his home, No. 1256 East William street, of malarial fever, aged 73 years. He had been the janitor at the Jasper street school for a long time. He leaves a widow and six children. George and Rose Travis reside in Decatur, William Travis in Missouri, Charles Travis in St. Paul, Minn., John Travis in Edgar county, and Minnie Travis in St. Louis.
