Dorothy loved gardening and flowers. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, William Ronald "Tig" Adkins; son, Eddie Arnold Adkins; brothers, Cecil F. and Ernest Snodgrass; and sisters, Hazel Bateman, Grace Snodgrass, Kathleen Lanham and Julia Sayre.She is survived by her sons, William Ronald Adkins Jr. of St. Albans and James Ray Adkins of Tennessee; daughter, Mary Lou Dillon of Chesapeake, Ohio; seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m., Monday, February 18, at Casdorph & Curry Funeral Home, 110 B St., St. Albans, with the Rev. Robert Lee Morris officiating. Burial will follow in Lawrence Cemetery, Scott Depot.There will be a gathering of family and friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
