It was a second marriage for both of them but I can't find the burial records for the first spouses.
George first married Lorinda Eastlick in Mercer County, PA about 1842. She died in the late 1850s, probably in Indiana. Cornelia Carter first married Warren Whipple in 1849, Lee County, Illinois. Warren died in the 1860s and then Cornelia married George W. Reed sometime before 1870 when they appear together in the Franklin County KS census.
