Charles N. Snyder, 74, of Allentown, died Thursday, September 22 in Sacred Heart Hospital, Allentown. He was the husband of Florence (Ritter) Snyder. They were married October 28, 1950. Born in Allentown, he was a son of the late Harry and Emma (Wahl) Snyder. He was a member of St. Marks United Church of Christ, Allentown. He was also a member of the Fearless Fire Company, Allentown. He was employed for 38 years by the former Rodale Company in Emmaus, now known as Square D, as a plater before retiring in 1981. Survivors: Wife; sons, Charles Jr., husband of Debra of Slatington, John and his companion, Karlene Webster, of Allentown, Dennis and his wife, Connie, of Allentown and Larry of Emmaus; daughter, Janet and her husband, Howard Butz, of Allentown; Brothers, Russel, Donald and Gerald, all of Emmaus; sister, Eleanore Latch of Washington, N.J.; 11 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Fegley, and a brother, Larry.
