Lynda "Mrs. LAW" Woolverton passed away Monday, December 5, 2022 at Tyler ContinueCARE. She was born November 22, 1941 in Anderson County to Westley Maxalee Amason & Pearl Fincher Amason.
She was a retired SPED teacher that taught primarily at Elkhart High School. After retirement she began teaching ISS & substituting at EISD, then tutored students in need. She was much loved by all her students.
She had also been a SPED teacher in Palestine ISD and the Director of the Upward Bound program at Henderson County Junior College.
She had attended Henderson County Junior College, Sam Houston State College, and Stephen F. Austin St. University.
She was preceded in death by her parents & her brother Johnny Amason.
She is survived by her daughter Michele Amason; her sister-in-law Karen Amason, nephews Joseph Amason & Jacob Amason, niece Rebecca Amason, several cousins and many friends and ex-students.
As a memorial to her, please go to your favorite Mexican food place and enjoy a meal, pet an animal, do some gardening, read a book, and above all else, be kind to all. For that is how she lived her life.
