Daniel V. Aguilar, 82, of Decatur, Indiana passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Adams Memorial Hospital in Decatur, Indiana.

He was born on March 4, 1940, in Nova Coah, Mexico to the late Anestacio Aguilar and the late Elise (Villa) Aguilar. He was united in marriage to Rosa Canales on October 27, 1962, in Decatur, Indiana.

Daniel was a member of the Assembly of God.

He was employed at Decatur Casting, All American Homes, and was self-employed in the construction industry. His most important job was being the Pastor of the Living Word Temple in Decatur for many years.

Daniel was an avid coon hunter, and he loved training coon dogs. He loved the outdoors, reading, and spending time with his family.

Survivors include his wife,Rosa Aguilar of Decatur, Indiana; three daughters, Diana (Robert) Kruckeberg of Versailles, Ohio, Paula (Todd Burke) Winters of Bluffton, Indiana, and Olga Longberry of Decatur, Indiana; son, Jonathon Canales of Fort Wayne, Indiana; three sisters, Sarah Calderon of Texas, Noemi Beaverson of Ohio, and Dora Mendez of Ohio; two brothers, Sam Aguilar of Texas and Israel Aguilar of Ohio; 13 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Daniel was preceded in death by his son, Ghamma Aguilar in infancy; one brother, Ben Aguilar; two sisters, Minnie DelRio and Graciela Shaw; two granddaughters KC Longberry and Ellie Richardson; and one great-grandson, Liam Kruckeberg.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Living Word Temple 230 Madison St. Decatur, Indiana with Pastor Jerry French officiating.

Preferred memorials can be given to Living Word Temple.
