Charles A. Janes
Charles "Chuck" A. Janes Jr., 72, of St. Marys passed away Dec. 20, 2005, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.
He was born Nov. 23, 1933, in Waverly, W.Va., a son of the late Charles and Glendora Janes Sr.
Chuck was retired from American Cynamid/Cytec and was an avid ham radio enthusiast. He was also a member of the Moose Lodge No. 1119 and attended Waverly United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Lula Belle Metz Janes; three daughters, Brenda Cosner and husband, Mark, of Williamstown, Beverly Surratt of Huntington, Sherri Murphy and husband, Jerry, of Honduras; four grandchildren, Marshall Cosner and wife, Jennifer, of Vienna, Alex and Evan Surratt, both of Huntington, and Allison Murphy of Columbia, S.C.; one great-grandson, Dylan Cosner; one brother, Jim Janes and wife, Linda; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday at the Leavitt Funeral Home, Parkersburg, with the Rev. John W. Frum and Pastor Mark D. Wilding officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery, Williamstown.
The family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
