John David Landers, 41 years old, resident of this city for many years, died at the family residence here Friday. Funeral services were held here at 4:30 o'clock Saturday afternoon at the First Baptist Church with Dr. J. C. Burkett, pastor of the Southside Baptist Church in charge. Burial will be made in the local cemetery today, having been postponed pending arrival of relatives from Dallas.
Mr. Landers had a wide circle of friend in this city who will learn of his death with great sorrow.
Mr. Landers had been in ill health for several months. He was a brother of Emmett Landers, supervisor of education and young people's work of the first Baptist church and a son of mrs. Josephine Landers, also of Abilene.
