Elzina McInroe of Idalou went to be with the Lord on Feb. 14, 2008 at the age of 94 years. She was born on May 30, 1913 in Wingate, Texas to Byrd and Nina (Sullivan) Wallis. She was a homemaker, who enjoyed arts and crafts, painting and ceramics. She married Lowell McInroe April 25, 1931. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 2007. Elzina was a longtime member of Idalou Church of Christ and was involved in all activities of the church.

Those left to cherish her memory are her three daughters, Vernell Clayton and husband Charles of Lubbock, Veleta Phillips of Idalou, and LaVon Bolinger of Lubbock; ten grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and 12 great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by one daughter, Sue Savell on April 2005.

Formal Visitation will be from 6 -7:30 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, 2008 at White Funeral Home in Idalou. Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 16, 2008 at Idalou Church of Christ in Idalou, with Robin Crawford officiating. Interment will follow at Idalou Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to Children's Home of Lubbock at 4404 Idalou Rd, Lubbock, TX 79403 or Idalou Meals on Wheels at P.O. Box 918, Idalou, Texas 79329.
