From "Port Madison, Washington Territory 1854-1889," by Fredi Perry. BEATON, Thomas B. Nova Scotia, D. Steilacoom, married Hattie Primrose. Thomas made his way, presumably overland, taking out his citizenship papers in Reno. Family papers indicate he arrived in Port Madison in 1866 where he worked as a master ship carpenter.
