LUCILLE M. LONG

Lucille M. Long, 93 of Rushville, passed away on December 9, 2022 in Rushville at her home. She was born on June 30, 1929 in Clinton, IN to the late Ben and Evelyne (Parker) Neal.
Lucille was a 1947 graduate of Carthage High School and attended DePaul University. She married Billy Long on December 18, 1949 and he preceded her in death on April 28, 2011.
Lucille worked at Mays Elementary for over 16 years as the library aide, retiring in 1994. She was a lifetime member of St. Paul United Methodist Church and was a part of the United Methodist Women. Lucille was a member of Friends Forever Homemaker club in Lewisville and Ginham Gals & Guys Homemakers Club.
Lucille is survived by her sons, Michael (Sandy Washburn) Long of Bloomington, IN, Tim (Janis) Long of Rushville and William (Laurie) Long of Center Grove, IN; daughter, Theresa (Kenny) Sullivan of Rushville; brother James W. Neal of Carthage. She will also be missed by 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way.
Lucille is preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Greg Long, and sister, Barbara Readle.
Memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 15, 2022 at 4 PM in Moster Mortuary, with Rev. Kelly Hadlich presiding. Friends are welcome to visit the family from 2 PM until the time of service. Private Burial of ashes will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to Donor's Favorite Charity.
