Daughter of Tucker Wheeler Farrar and Sarah H. "Sallie" Thomas. Married William Bailey on 22 Feb 1872 in Ralls County, Missouri. Married William Anthony Barnes on 02 Dec 1886 in Randolph County, Missouri.

Mrs. W. A. Barnes Dies at Paris
PARIS, April 24 — Mrs. W. A. Barnes, 84, died here this morning at 8:45 o'clock at the home her son, Roy Barnes, West Locust street. She had been an invalid for several years and had been seriously ill since Sunday.
Before her marriage Mrs. Barnes was Miss Sallie Farrar. She was born in Augusta county, Virginia, and came to Missouri with her parents, who settled near Boonville when she was six years of age. Before coming to Paris Mrs. Barnes lived near Sturgeon for several years.
She is survived by two sons, Roy T. Barnes, Paris and Glenn Barnes, Marshall, and three stepchildren, Judge W. W. Barnes, Mrs. Sallie Lynch and Mrs. Crank, all of Paris.
Funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Pisgah Church near Sturgeon with burial in adjoining cemetery.
