Bruce Eldon Mefford, 66, long time resident of Eldorado, died Mon., September 29, 1986 at Quanah, TX. Services will be 2 pm Thurs., at Corinth Baptist Church. Burial will be at the Eldorado Cemetery.
Born 28 Dec 1919, he was the son of E.H. & Beatrice (Trammel) Mefford. He moved with his family from Grandfield to Eldorado in 1937.
He married Melveta Fay Jarvis 6 Jul 1940 at Gould. Mefford farmed near the Eldorado community.
Survivors: his wife, Melveta Fay of the home; 2 sons: Danny Dean Mefford of Colombus, OH & Ricky Bruce Mefford of Eldorado; one daughter: Myrna Fayrene Taylor of Deming, NM; 2 brothers: Marvin Mefford & Glenn Mefford, both of Eldorado; 2 sisters: Dorothy Helms of Eldorado & Goldie McElroy; and 7 grandchildren.
