Jewel Hope Seay Gholson, of Chesterfield County, passed away on December 5, 2022, after a courageous battle with cancer. She has joined her beloved husband of 49 years "Ron" Ronald Gholson, Sr. They were sealed for Time and All Eternity in the Washington DC Temple on 14 May 1976.
She was the 12th child of 14 children born to Mabel and Emmett Seay. She was preceded in death by nine brothers: Kirk, William (Billy), Emmett (Junie), Louise, Edgar, Jerry, Robert (Bootsie), Elbert (Pete), and David (Dickie) as well as three sisters: Helen, Betty Loue, and Barbara. She leaves behind one sister, Patricia (Patsy), and two sisters-in-law, Joyce Seay and Peggy Seay.
She was also preceded in death by her husband, Ronald W. Gholson, Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald Wayne "Ron" Gholson, Jr. (Karen Lynn) and Kenneth Edward "Kenny" Gholson (Karen Louise).
She is also survived by six grandchildren: Amy Elizabeth Pikula (Derick), Katherine "Katie" Hope Gholson, Ryan Wayne Gholson (Jordan), Jackie Lynn Saxton (Jake), Karrie Nicole Crocker (Michael), and Kyle Edward Gholson (Kristen); and 17 great-grandchildren: Kurtis, Sarah Lily, Ella, Kyler, Reese, Scarlett, Tucker, Carson, Sawyer, Davis, Max, Ava, Stelly, Makala, Jaden, and Kennedy.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, December 19, 2022, 10 a.m., at The Belmont Ward Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3541 Cogbill Road, N. Chesterfield. Interment to follow in Sunset Memorial Park. Online condolences may be made at www.blileys.com.
