Body at Hollabaugh-Spindle's Wooddale Memorial Chapel with visiting from 8 a.m. Friday until religious services at 10 a.m., conducted by the Rev. Pen Morgan. Interment in Roseland Cemetery, Gloster, Miss.
Survived by his wife, Mrs. Opel Frost McCrary, Baton Rouge; one daughter, Mrs. Anna Marie Nason, Baton Rouge; one son, Edward McCrary III, Baker; two sisters, Mrs. Frank (Elizabeth) Hatcher, Decatur, Ga., and Mrs. Clint (Kitty Mae) Griffin, Atlanta, Ga.; two brothers, Ridgley McCrary, Wisconsin, and Werdna McCrary, Birmingham, Ala.; several nieces and nephews; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
Preceded in death by his wife, Claudia McCrary; his parents; two brothers.
Pallbearers will be his masonic brothers.
He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Masonic Lodge No. 372 F&AM and Scottish Rite of Free Masonary and was a graduate of the Gulf Coast Military Academy.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the East Baton Rouge Parish Cancer Society on Steele Boulevard.
