William (Bill) Euple Cole , age 90, passed away peacefully at home in Hamilton, Alabama on Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2022. He was born in Hamilton (Marion County) Alabama on June 28, 1932 to Dee and Ella (Anglin) Cole. He grew up helping his family sharecrop throughout Marion County until he moved to LaPorte, Indiana in 1950. He met and married Rosemary (Frankinburger) Cole in 1951. They had seven children together. While living in LaPorte, Indiana, his major employment was first working for the City Department. Then, he worked many years till retiring at the UAW Budd Plant in Gary, Indiana making automobiles. He moved back to his hometown of Hamilton, Alabama in 1980. He got remarried to Melba "Pat" (McGuire Stricklin) Cole. He was an avid fisherman, hunter, guitar player, and singer.
Mr. Cole is survived by his sister-Barbara (Cole) Grubbs; his sons- Steven , Edward, William and Jeffrey Cole; his daughter-Kathy (Cole) Welch and Patricia Welch; his first wife-Rosemary (Frankinburger) Cole; 16 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by parents-Dee and Ella (Anglin) Cole; his brothers-Elmon, Amos, Delmar, and Orville (Gene) Cole; his daughter-Marilyn (Cole) Kyle; and wife-Melba "Pat" (McGuire Stricklin) Cole.
The Funeral service will be held at the Hamilton Funeral Home in Hamilton, Alabama on Saturday December 10th. The public viewing will be from 11 am-12 pm. The Celebration of Life Service will begin at 12 pm followed by the burial at West Alabama Memorial Gardens in Gu-Win Alabama.
