Son of Samuel Blydenburgh and Lydia Flyng, husband of Amelia Lund, the daughter of John Lund and Maria, and father of Charles Lund, John H. and Franklin Edward Blydenburgh.

In 1850, Charles H. Blydenburgh, aged 9, was living in New York, in the home of his mother, Lydia Blydenburgh, aged 50, born in Maine, with Mary E. Foster, aged 13, Ann Floyd, aged 87, Henrietta Jenkins, aged 22, Wilhelmina Jenkins, aged 1, and John H. Jenkins, aged 27.

In 1870, Charles Blydenburgh, aged 29, no occupation, was living in Brooklyn, New York, post office Williamsburgh, with his wife, Amelia Blydenburgh, aged 24, and son, Charles L. Blydenburgh, aged 2.

In 1880, his widow, Amelia Blydenburgh, aged 35, and sons, Charles L. Blydenburgh, aged 11, and Franklin E. Blydenburgh, aged 4, were living at 213 Larrimar Street, Brooklyn, New York, in the home of her mother, Maria Lund, aged 65, and sister, Eliza Lund, aged 23.

Estate - Kings County Surrogate Court, In the Matter of the Application for Letters of Administration on the Goods, Chattes, and Credits of Charles H. Blydenburgh, Deceased, Instestate.
I, Amelia Blydenburgh (213 Larrimer St.), of the City of Brooklyn, being duly sworn and examined, do depose and say, that I am the widow of the said Charles H. Blydenburgh, deceased; that said deceased departed this life at the City of Brooklyn, on the Twenty-Second day of April, in the year 1880, without leaving any Will or Testament, that your petitioner was present at the time of his death and attended the funeral of the deceased. That the deceased died possessed of certain personal property in the State of New York, the value of which does not exceed the sum of about one hundred and twenty-five dollars, as I have been informed and believe; that said deceased left surviving his widow, and two children, to wit; Charles L. Blydenburgh, aged 11 years, and Frank E. Blydenburgh, aged 4 years, both residing with their mother, your applicant in the City of Brooklyn, his only next of kin; that deceased was at the time of his death an inhabitant of the County of Kings, and City of Brooklyn. And I ask that Letters of Administration on the estate of said deceased to be granted by the Surrogate of the County of Kings to me, Amelia Blydenburgh.

After his death, his widow remarried, to David S. Battersby, on August 27, 1883, in Brooklyn, New York.
