Mrs. Emma Alwine Altland, 87, widow of Theodore Altland, died at 9:15 a.m. Monday at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Earl Gingerich, Seven Valleys R. 1. Coroner Lester J. Sell attributed death to a heart condition.

Surviving are seven children; Ernest, William and Cletus Altland, Mrs. Samuel Grim and Mrs. Charles Auchey, all of Abbottstown; Mrs. Charles Neiman and Mrs. Nora Cofffman, both of York; 25 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, six brothers and one sister, Miss Laura Alwine, York; Emory Alwine, Abbottstown; Edward Alwine, Hanover; Percy and William Alwine, New Oxford; Lewis Alwine, Spring Grove and Paul Alwine, Harrisburg.

Funeral services Thursday morning at 10 o'clock from the Max G. Anstine Funeral Home, 1701 West Market Street, West York. The Rev. Franklin Glassmoyer will officiate. Interment in Holtzschwamm Cemetery.
