Joe Wayne Davis , 76, of New Hope, passed away Wednesday November 30, 2022 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Joe was a loving husband to his wife Gail of 56 years. He was a wonderful father and grandfather. He loved spending time with his grandkids and great grandkids. He is the best Paw Paw and gives the best advice. He was kind and a friend to anyone he met. He put his family first. He was a member of Community Baptist Church. His joy in life was to be around his family and those he loved. He just wanted to see to it that all those he loved was happy and he could make anyone's day with his smile and his talks.

He was preceded in death by father, Elmer Olive Davis; mother, Nora Bell Davis; brother, Billy Davis, brother, James Davis; sister, Mary Ruth Lewis, sister, Kathleen Atchley.

Surviving are wife, Gail Davis; son, Roger (Carolyn) Davis; grandson, Trevor (Brooke) Davis, grandson, Tyler Davis, grandson, Connor Davis; grandaughter, Tia (Jon) Dossett, granddaughter, Lyndi Davis; brother, Travis Davis, brother, Tommy Davis; great grandsons, James Dossett, Hudson Dossett, and Benjamin Davis; great granddaughter, Peyton Grace Dossett.
Visitation will be Saturday 5 to 8 pm at New Hope Funeral Home. Services will be held Sunday at 2:00 pm at New Hope Funeral Home Chapel with Gary Paseur officiating.

Interment will be at Walker Cemetery .
