Elizabeth Goehring, wife of George Goehring, died of dropsy of the heart at her home in Menno Tuesday morning, aged 59 years, 2 months and 7 days. Mrs. Goehring has been sick with lung and other complications for the past seven months, brought upon her by the evil effect of lagrippe. She was at the breakfast table the morning she died and was out in the yard when death came suddenly upon her and relived her of all worldly cares and pain.
The deceased is spoken very highly of as an effectionate (sic) mother and a kind and loving wife. She leaves, besides her husband, seven children to mourn her loss: Mrs. Katie Hepfer, Mrs. John Krammer, Jacob Goehring, Mrs. Maggie Riemke, Karl Goehring, Mrs. Jacob Berreth and Edward Goehring.
Mr. and Mrs. Goehring were married 38 years ago in southern Russia and came to this country about 14 years ago and located in this place.
The funeral services were conducted from the family residence by Rev. F. A. Ritterhaus at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday and the remains laid to rest in the Menno Cemetery. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the entire community.
