She was a lifelong educator working for 50 years plus in the Mesquite ISD. Ruth was also a member of the First Baptist Church Richardson and a former member of Shiloh Terrace Baptist Church in Dallas.
Preceded in death by her husband, Walter Ernest Floyd Jr. Survived by her son, Russell Floyd, daughter, Anne, 7 grand children, brother, Bill Prewitt, numerous nieces and nephews.
Interment: May 16, 2013 at Restland in Dallas, Texas...RFH
