Howard Vice, 92, of Lafayette, IN, passed away on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Franciscan Health in Indianapolis, IN.

He was born on April 25, 1930 in Mulberry, IN to the late Dallas and Gladys (Seager) Vice. Howard proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1950-1954.

On May 4, 1952, he married Mary Ivaloo Sailer. She preceded him in passing on May 29, 2022.

Howard was a member of the American Legion, Lodge 123 Masons. He worked various jobs, including 16 years Hudlow's Cleaners, 15 years in sales at High Point Oil Company and over 8 years at the Purdue Pharmacy, but he was most proud of his past presidency and 16 years of volunteer work as a Home Hospital Red Coat, logging in 5,500 hours.

Surviving are one son; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He is preceded in passing by his parents; wife; two brothers, James R. Vice and Dallas Vice Jr; and one sister, Betty Garriott.

Visitation will be held from 1 PM to 2 PM on Monday, December 5, 2022 at Hippensteel Funeral Home. Funeral service will begin at 2 PM with Pastor Jake Ohlemiller officiating. Entombment will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Park.
