Archie Washington McAlexander, 89 of Pilot, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 26, 2022. He is preceded in death by his parents, General & Minnie McAlexander; brother, Arthur McAlexander; two siblings; loving daughter, Helen Hawley; and a grandson, Calvin Hawley, Jr.
Dad was a Floyd County farmer, who loved his farm and cattle.
He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Lena McAlexander; two daughters, Mary (Terry) Epperly and Dee (Eddie) Shumate; three sons, Lane (Pam) McAlexander, Billy (Lisha) McAlexander, and Steve (Wanda) McAlexander; son-in-law, Calvin (Nancy) Hawley; special friend considered as a daughter, Christie McDaniel; 16 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; sister, Ruth (Donald) West; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Noon on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Abundant Life Fellowship Church, Pilot, VA with Pastor Ray McDaniel, Pastor Calvin Hawley, and Pastor Leon Alley officiating. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery.
