Ova Evelyn McLeod, age 83, of Lee's Summit, Missouri passed away on the 4th June, 2011, at the hospital. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9th, at Nall Avenue Church of the Nazarene, 6301 Nall. Burial in Mount Moriah Cemetery. Friends may call from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 8th, at Mount Moriah & Freeman, 10507 Holmes Road, Kansas City, Missouri. Memorial Contributions may be made to Nazarene Missions International. Ova was born on September 16th, 1927 in Brumley, Missouri. Ova had a lifelong passion to serve Jesus Christ through the Nazarene Church. Ova was highly respected in the food and beverage trade in the Kansas City area. She was preceded in death by her husband Jessie McLeod. Survivors include daughters Alice Justice and Sue Gillihan, and sons Phillip and John McLeod. Ova has six grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren, and two great, great grandchildren.
