Elva Mae (Johnson) Vannatta was taken home to her Savior on November 20, 2022. She was born in Spokane, Washington on August 30, 1933 to Oscar Harold and Ruth Cordelia (Fry) Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents; 10 brothers and sisters; her husband, Charles Wayne Vannatta, and her daughter, Vanesa Renee' Vannatta. She is survived by her son, Stephen Dean and Victoria Lynn (Halbe) Vannatta , 4 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews. She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Mt. Zion Christian Cemetery in Tuscumbia, MO.

Mae, Miss Mae (as some called her) or Mom-O (as she liked to be called by her grandchildren), was a vibrant and fun-loving person who loved socializing with people and traveling. She had a special fondness for children. She also loved her coffee, cooking, and playing practical jokes on those she loved, especially on April Fool's Day. She was involved in the churches she served and in many volunteer organizations. She had also been recognized at local and state levels in her role as Activity Director at North Village Park Nursing Home in Moberly, MO.

Friends will be received on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am at Millard Family Cremation and Funeral Center. Funeral service will follow at 11:00 am with the Rev. Dr. Monte Shinkle officiating. Interment will be in the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Tuscumbia, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to First Baptist Church, Moberly, Missouri or Concord Baptist Church, Jefferson City, Missouri.
