Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, November 30, 2022, in the Chapel of Baker Funeral Home with Pastor Ricky McLaughlin officiating. Interment will follow at Baker/Hillcrest Memorial Gardens. Dallas Baker, Christian Baker, Taylor Kidd, Dakota Baker, Wesley Baker, and Greg Jones will all serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends one hour before the service in the chapel.
Born on January 1, 1973, in Cook Co., Georgia, he was the son of Earnestine Daughtry Baker and the late Talmadge E. Baker.
An avid football fan, Herby enjoyed his time watching the Colquitt Co. Packers and the Georgia Bulldogs play. "Go Dawgs" or "Go, Pack, Go" was two favorite phrases that he would say on game day. He was loved and cherished by his friends and family. He was of the Pentecostal faith and attended Moultrie Church of God.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by brothers Dennis McCorvey, Jr., Terry Lee Baker, and Keith Baker.
Mr. Baker is survived by his loving mother, Earnestine Daughtry Baker of Moultrie; siblings, Martin Baker and wife Samantha, Steve Baker, all of Moultrie, Tammy Kidd and husband Terry of Funston, Michael McCorvey and Leanne Staalenburg of Tallahassee, Belinda Williams of Winder, Kim Margavich and husband Tom of Gainsville, GA, and Kathy Brooks of Jackson Co., GA.; and a multitude of nieces and nephews.
