Born in Oconee County, South Carolina, Elmo was the son of the late Robert L. Denny and Zoabelle Williams Denny. Elmo was a retired machinist with BP-Amoco (Phillips Fibers) and a United States Air Force veteran.
Elmo is survived by his son, Wayne L. Denny (Melissa); daughter, Beverly D. Wilson (Mike); brother, David Denny; sisters, Louvenia Allison, Linda Sheriff; grandchildren, Allen Denny, Philip Denny, Sarah Denny, Lacey Crowther (Jeff), Dixie Burgess (Kevin); and
great-grandchildren, Connor and Caroline Burgess.
In addition to his wife and parents, Elmo is preceded in death by his brothers, Bill Denny, Terrell Denny, Lester Denny, John Denny; sister, Robbie Denny and an infant brother.
