Anna L. Troyer, 78, a resident of Brenn-Field Nursing Home in Orrville and formerly of Apple Creek, died Friday, April 29, 2005, in Dunlap Hospital in Orrville, following a period of declining health.
She was born near Orrville on June 17, 1926 to Levi B. and Mary Ellen Shreve Hostetler. She was a member of the Fairlawn Mennonite Church near Apple Creek and more recently had attended Grace Brethren Church in Wooster.
On January 30, 1947, she married Ray E. Weaver. He died November 30, 1971. She then married Levi M. Troyer on June 18, 1977. He died June 13, 1986. Surviving are 4 children, Mary Karl Rider of Madisonburg, PA, Ella Crist Peachy of Apple Creek, Paul R. LindaWeaver of Fredericksburg, and John R. Gladys Weaver of Wooster; 6 step-children, Wayne Sandy Troyer of Canton, Arie Troyer of Dalton, Verna James Mast of Dalton, Mary Ann Curt Geiser of Dalton, Betty Terry Miller of Stonecreek, and Lisa Leroy Miller of Fredericksburg; 12 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 11 step-grandchildren; 2 step-great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Clara Detweiler of Fredericksburg and Ella Simon J. Miller of Dundee. She was preceded in death by 2 sons, Ray E. Weaver, Jr. and Emery R. Weaver, a granddaughter, 3 brothers, Albert, Jonas, and Perry Hostetler, and 3 sisters, Lydia Ann Miller, Verna Troyer, and Nettie Hochstetler.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 10:00 AM at the Fairlawn Mennonite Church with Pastors Duane Detweiler and Tom Peters officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
