Deborah Lynn Clayton
Deborah (Debbie) L. Clayton, 66, left this world to be with her Lord on October 31, 2022.

Debbie was born in Houston and the family moved around a lot while she was growing up. She met Robert Clayton when she was the store manager and he was the pharmacist at Eckerd's Drug Store. They shared 17 loving years of marriage together before he passed away in 1996. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Zoology from Texas A&M.

A caring, selfless, and loving soul, Debbie was a good friend and was always there for anyone who needed her; her favorite saying was, "Carpe Diem". The greatest days of her life were when her children were born; she loved being a stay-at-home mom while her children were in school, but also spent a lot of time volunteering in the community. She loved making cards, wreaths, and blankets for others and going to the Renaissance Fair, but the most important things to her were her friends, family, and being involved in her church. Raised Lutheran and converting to the Episcopal Church, she had recently begun taking ministry classes. She cherished traveling to Ireland with her mother and the Traveling Aggies, as well as many trips with her friend, Deni, in recent years to Arizona, Colorado, and New York.

Debbie was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Clayton; son, Chuck Clayton; mother, Helen King, and in-laws, Frank and Reita Clayton.

Debbie is survived by her children, Brianne Swack and husband Jimmy, and Patrick Clayton and wife Holly; and her grandchildren, Peyton Swack, Cameron Swack, Jentri Swack, Addalynn Clayton, Autumn Clayton, and Avery Clayton.
