Leonard Filmore Taylor, 62, a retired employee of the Sergeant Aircraft Co. in California, died at 7 p.m. Saturday in the Veterans Administration Hospital. He was a resident of 228 South C St. and had been ill for two months.
Born on Sept. 27, 1906, in St. Clair, Mo., Mr. Taylor had lived in Poplar Bluff three years. He formerly lived in Long Beach, Calif. He was a World War II veteran and was a member of the Disabled American Veterans.
He was married to Augusta Crider on Oct. 3, 1961 in Poplar Bluff, Butler. She survives him.
Also surviving is a son Harold Taylor, St. Louis; and a half-sister, Mrs. Alice Johns, St. Louis.
The funeral was to be at 2 p.m. today in the Greer Croy & Fitch Fumeral Chapel and burial was in City Cemetery. The minister was the Rev. John Gilbert.
