Mary graduated from Mt. Vernon High School in 1964 and went on to attend and graduate college at USI. She went on to spend several years being a special education teacher. She had a special place in her heart and did lots of work for people with disabilities. She also loved to write stories, and poems, reading, studying the Bible, and puzzle books. She was a fierce friend, loved her family, and adored her grandchildren. But most importantly, she loved the Lord.
She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers- Walter McRoy, Marvin Goodwin, and Johnny Goodwin; sisters- Frances Walker and Amy Ewer.
Burial in St. Matthews Cemetery.
