Mrs. Hazel Evylene Cameron, 82 of Mt. Vernon, passed from this life on Saturday, November 19, 2022 at her home. She was born in Rockcastle County, KY on December 29, 1939 the daughter of Oscar and Clara Ethel McNew Mason. She was a homemaker and a member of Grace Baptist Church of Annville.
She is survived by her children: James Donald Cameron and wife Loretta of Annville, Jeffery Ray Cameron and wife Brenda of Brodhead, Paul Davis Cameron and wife Jamie of Somerset, Carlos Lee Cameron and wife Judy of McKee, Teronna Jo Dowell and husband Lonnie of Crab Orchard, and Donna Jean Hasty and husband Dale of Mt. Vernon; and a sister: Artie Mae Stevens of Mt. Vernon. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband: Bro. Billy Joe Cameron; a son: Anthony Wayne Cameron; two brothers; and two sisters.
Funeral services for Mrs. Cameron will be conducted Wednesday, November 23 at 12:00 PM at the Dowell & Martin Funeral Home Chapel by Bros. Zandell Hasty and Shane Gabbard. Burial will follow in Maple Grove Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 9:00 PM Tuesday.
