SIKESTON -- Langdon Bond Perry, 96, died at 10:08 a.m. March 20, 2005, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

Born Nov. 24, 1908, and raised at Hornersville, son of the late Walter Astor and Maude Mae Finch Perry, he was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sikeston and had farmed many years in the Vanduser area before retiring.

On May 12, 1941, he married Ida Belle Phegley who preceded him in death on Aug. 11, 1990.

Also preceding him in death were one stepdaughter, Ila Marie Reynolds; four brothers, David Perry, Marvin Perry, Mark Perry and Oliver Perry; two sisters, Ruth Bixler and Anna Bell Haire; and one grandson.

Survivors include: one son and daughter-in-law, L.B. and Kay Perry of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Patricia Ann Sullivan of Cave Creek, Ariz.; one sister, Jean Lyle of Versailles; one brother, Howard Perry of Wyoming, Mich.; and six grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston where services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday. Dr. Rick Ramsey, pastor of First Baptist Church in Sikeston, will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley.

Pallbearers will be: Phil Black, Gary Kesler, Earl McConnell, Gerald McConnell, Shad Old and Lee Shell.
