INDA KAY RICHARDS, 77, of Fort Wayne, passed away Friday, July 8, 2022, at Kingston on Dupont following several years of being stricken with Alzhei mer's disease. Born in Fort Wayne, Linda was an amazing and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who cared deeply for her family and nothing made her happier than spending time with them. Prior to her health decline, she enjoyed cooking meals for her family, crocheting countless afghans to share with others, and touched many lives with her lovely handwritten notes of encouragement and support. She loved animals and particularly enjoyed watching the wildlife on their property at Lake Milakokia in the UP of Michigan. Prior to retiring, Linda worked as an executive assistant at local Christian radio station WBCL, and prior to that she had been support staff at a diamond wire die company for many years. Surviving are her sons, Daniel (Sonya) of Florida and Greg (Maria) of Arizona; daughter-in-law, Heather (Lee) Morris of Fort Wayne; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and brother, Jim (Marcia) Winkelmann of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 56 years, Jerry Lee Richards; parents, Werner and Connie Winkelmann; son, Joseph Richards; and grandchildren, Jesse Lee Richards, Jonathan David Richards and Sarah Beth Richards. There will be no calling or service. The family requests that those who wish to honor Linda's memory make a donation to Kingston at Dupont in her name, as this was her home for the past 2-1/2 years where she was cared for in the most special of ways and greatly enjoyed their aviary, therapy dog visits, and special music times. Donations can be mailed to Kingston at Dupont, 1716 E. Dupont Road, Fort Wayne, IN 46825. Arrangements have been entrusted to D.O. McComb & Sons Pine Valley Park Funeral Home, 1320 East Dupont Road, Fort Wayne. Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared with the Richards family at www.mccombandsons.com
