Herman A. Dickinson, aged 75, of Plainview (Yell County) died Tuesday. He was a Presbyterian. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Esther Anderson Dickinson; three sons, Jerry Dickinson of Hurst, Texas, and Jackie and James Robert Dickinson, both of Fort Worth, Texas; a daughter, Mrs. Linda Purifoy of Benton; three brothers, N. B. Dickinson of Kirkman, Iowa, Walter W. Dickinson of Sun City, California, and R. E. Dickinson of Spirit Lake, Iowa; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at New Rosemont Cemetery at Benton by Ashby Funeral Home of Benton. (from the Arkansas Gazette October 17, 1979)
