Louie Bennett Bolin, 92, beloved husband of 35 years to Doris Bolin, of Greenville, passed away Thursday, November 17, 2022.

Born in Greenwood, SC, he was the son of the late James and Addie McWhirter Bolin.

Louie proudly served his country in the United States Marines; he was a survivor of the winter battle at Chosin Reservoir during the Korean conflict. Louie was a member of Augusta Road Church of Christ that he loved so much. He was also an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed traveling, even had the joy of traveling to the West Coast twice.

Louie was an avid golfer, and was always looking to improve his handicap when given the opportunity. If you knew Louie, you knew he loved his family beyond compare. He was a wonderful and loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Louie was a man of great integrity, faith, and family values. His presence will forever be missed but his memory and legacy will continue to live on through the lives he touched.

In addition to his loving wife, he is survived by daughters, Jody Chappelear (Greg) and Judy McNeely (Steve); step-daughters, Susan Neal and Kelly Thompson; a step-son, Marty Burdett; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Eugene "Gene" Bolin (Bodil).

Burial will be held in Graceland Cemetery West .
