"12 7bris et 2 oct. 1836 Baptisata fuit Maria Anna filia Legitima Adami Smith et Margareta [sic] Lorens Conjugum Susceperunt [blank] Smith" Translation: "Maria Anna, the legitimate daughter of Adam Smith and Margaret Lawrence, the married couple, was born September 7, 1836 and was baptized October 2, 1836, witnessed by [blank] Smith." (Conewago Chapel Baptismal Register page 21).

From death Certificate: Single, housekeeper, died of consumption, buried April 18, 1904
