She was born May 7, 1953, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of Guy & Wanda (Eshleman) Engel, who preceded her in death.
Survivors include, an aunt, Shirley Eshleman, cousins, Robert Engel, Carolyn and Donald Henschen, Dorothy Krites, Linda Suchland, Kathy Henkle, Cheryl Hasenjager, Deborah Francis, Scott Eshleman, James Eshleman, Bobbi Whitney, Gary Eshleman, and Carol Eshleman, several close friends including, Pat Gallimore, Allan Shafer, and Tim Buehler.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by aunts and uncles, Eldon and Ruth Eshleman, Stanferd and Marilyn Eshleman, Norman Eshleman, Marjorie Eshleman, and cousins, Michael Eshleman, Robert Eshleman, Arthur and Ruth Lange, John and Marie Heintz,
Richard Krites, Evelyn and Elmer Wagner, and Harold Engel.
Janet worked for The Lima News in newspaper delivery. She was a 1971 graduate of Wapakoneta High School, and a graduate of Northwestern Business College. Janet loved her dogs, and enjoyed crocheting, sewing, cooking and jigsaw puzzles
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Friday, November 18, 2022, at the Eley Funeral Home & Crematory, Wapakoneta, St. Rt. 501, with Pastor Melodi Hagen officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenlawn Cemetery, Wapakoneta. The family will receive friends 10-11 a.m., Friday, at the funeral home.
