She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, brother, Arthur "Bo" Zorn, stepfather, Leonard Evans and niece, Anita Zorn Ray.
Lou is survived by two daughters, Suzan Shilling (Arnie) and Allison Luchsinger (Michael) of Alexander; three grandsons, Brandon (Jessica) and Chris Chandler of Alexander and Tyler Brett (Christine) of Fayetteville; and five great-grandchildren, Emma Kate and Sadie Brett of Fayetteville, Aubrey and Gavin Chandler of Alexander and Cashton Chandler, also of Alexander. Survivors also include a nephew, Greg Zorn, cousins, Gail Robbins, Ted Reveley, Mike Reveley and numerous special family members and friends.
Lou graduated in 1953 from Little Rock Senior High School. She graduated from UAMS School of X-Ray Technology in 1955. She was employed 42 years at the AR Allergy and Asthma Clinic, retiring in 2012 at the age of 78. She loved her years at the Clinic and thought of them as a second family.
She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, the Open Door-Triune Sunday School class, the UMW and an active associate member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church.
Lou lived to travel, making many trips overseas and around the U.S. The highlight of her summer was always the "girls' trips" with Suzan and Allison. She enjoyed reading, gardening, playing bridge and spending time with family and friends.
Memorials may be made to Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church, 738 W. Lawson, Alexander, AR 72002.
Visitation will be Thursday, November 17 from 4-6 p.m. at Smith Little Rock Funeral Home, 8801 Knoedl Ct. Her memorial service will be Friday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church, 1101 N. Mississippi, officiated by Pastors Roy Smith and Terry Burruss. Inurnment will follow at Pinecrest Memorial Park.
