Lovie Louise Mangrum Kimbrell died on Thursday, Feb. 7, 2008, at age 77. She was born in Kosciusko, Miss., and was a resident of Baton Rouge. She was a housewife and her family was the center of her life.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jessie Lawson Kimbrell; five children and their spouses, Barita Kimbrell and Richard Morgan, Cynthia Kimbrell Rhea, Michael "Bubba" and Dianne Kimbrell, David Kimbrell, and the Rev. Dr. Cary and Paula Kimbrell; 12 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William Early and Navada Davis Mangrum; four sisters, Alline Yeager, Corene Shearer Hales, Myrtis Edwards Harmon and Dorothy Thrasher; two brothers, Earl "Buddy" Mangrum and Earnest Mangrum; a grandchild, Alissa Dawn Kimbrell; a great-grandchild, Owen Thomas Kimbrell; and son-in-law, Dr. William Rhea.

Arrangements entrusted to Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St. Interment in Resthaven Gardens of Memory.
