Beloved husband, Father, grandfather, & brother. He was born To Evaristo Soto & Juana Rodriguez. He is survived by his wife Rosie, & 4 children, Lizzie, junior, kenny, & john,. He has 10 grandchildren, Desiree, Johnmichael, Jasmine, Erika, Diana, Nicholas, Jacklyn, Brianna, Dominic, & NaMaya. Four brother's, Perfecto, Eddie, Willy & ralphy, and 3 sisters Helen, Hiedi & Neraida. He was born in Ponce Puerto Rico, were he met his first wife, raised in new york city .He proudly served in the US ARMY during the korean war, He was a tank driver stationed in fort hood texas. He was married twice, he and his first wife Elaine had a daughter, lizzie. he got divorced then met his second wife Rosemarie Claudio they married in july 1964. they had 3 children together , junior, kenny & john. He worked 3 years for new york city housing as a porter, He worked at the Jefferson housing complex were he lived with his family. He went on to work for new york city transit, he started as a transit authority cleaner, cleaning train cars in jerome yard. While on the job he got promoted to trackworker were he worked for the next 20 years . While working for transit he worked odd jobs to earn extra money so that he could achieve the american dream. He worked at public school 102 in harlem as a custodian, He installed alarm systems, He owned 2 livery cabs, He owned a hotdog stand, finally he saved enough money to move his family out of the projects, And In 1976, He took his family to the outter borough of queens to escape the gangs and provide his family with a better life. He bought a house in richmond hill queens. Still working odd jobs in addition to working for transit, He also worked at the lefferts theater as a janitor, and also ran a hotdog stand, So that He could send his children to catholic school. But he still had a real void in his life, his daughter, when he divorced his first wife she left new york city never to be seen again. He spent the rest of his life searching for his daughter , He even tried to adopt a girl to fill the viod. he became a foster parent to a lttle girl named barbara, but that still could not ease his pain. Moving to queens never giving up hope his life bacame complete when he finally had his daughter in his life again, a chance to bond with her he was the happiest man on the planet. Its amazing how someone,s life can come full circle. He was forced to retire from transit in 1996 due to an injury to his leg . Later on in life he sufferd from alzheimer's, and died of heart failure. HE WAS A HELLAVA MAN! A PROUD MAN & FOR GOOD REASON! GreatT FATHER! GREAT PROVIDER! GOOD FRIEND, WOULD GIVE YOU THE SHIRT OFF HIS BACK! WONDERFUL HUSBAND! AND WILL BE MISSED BY MANY!!! HE IS MY DADDY!
