ANNIE REARDON (1881-1964)

Annie Elizabeth Reardon was the 2nd of 10 children born to James Reardon and Julia Casey. I am told there were 16 children, but I could only find 10. She was born in 1881 in Pontypridd, Glamorgan, Wales UK. Annie arrived in the U.S. on 20 December 1906 at the age of 24 with her 26 year old Brother William, and their 15 year old sister Agnes. They settled in Brockton MA with family. Annie married James Cody on the 12th of April 1917 in Brockton at the age of 36. She worked at Brockton City Hall. James worked for the police department and eventually became the Brockton Chief of Police. Two children were born of this marriage, presumably named after their maternal grandparents (Annie's parents);

2. James Patrick Cody (1916-2008) m. Barbara Whitten

Annie died in February 1964 in Brockton at the age of 81. She is buried in the Calvary Cemetery in Brockton.
