Ronald honorably served his country in the Vietnam War in the U.S. Marine Corp. 1st Division. Later he became a contractor doing concrete finishing and electrical work. Ronald enjoyed fishing and working on his Harley.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife Karen Gardner of Durant, Oklahoma, sons David Gardner of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Kenneth Gardner and wife Elisha of Durant, Oklahoma, daughters Terra Crook of Fairfield, Texas, Amber Brooner of Waco, Texas and Mindy Gardner of Durant, Oklahoma, and his brothers Robert Gardner and wife Cindy of San Antonio, Texas, Wyndell Gardner and wife Donna of Waco, Texas, and Dennis Gardner and wife Lisa of Columbia, Texas. His legacy lives on with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death are his parents John and Gladys Gardner, and his sister Jackie Gamble, Daphne O'Neal, Bonnie Schmittendorf, and Terry Gardner.
