Born to Pearl & Jack Emery 11-23-1925 in Hastings, NE. Physical Therapist and Businessman, Graduate of University of Nebraska, Physical Therapy school University of Wisconsin, Started the first private physical therapy office in Nebraska, 1997 LIBA Businessman of the Year, APTA 1984 Florence Kendall Award Of Excellence, 50 year member of American Physical Therapy Association, As a physical therapist he never tired of helping and healing his patients. He served with the Marine Corps during WWII in the Pacific Theater.Lyle loved hunting, hunting dogs, fishing, snow skiing, sailing, His favorite mode of travel was in a RV and he was a member of Rolling Huskers. Lyle Loved horses and was a founding member of Capital City Horse & Pony Club. He was a member of Sesostris Shrine Temple/ Hillbillies/ Jesters. Lyle was very involved with his kids, grandkids and great grandkids, He attended Husker football games for over 50 years and rarely missed a Lincoln Saltdogs game. Member Northeast Community United Church of Christ for 60 years.
He is survived by his daughters, Barbara Otto (Sheldon) Spencer, NE, Judy Dosek (Scott)- Paradise Valley, AZ, and Joyce Thomas Lincoln; grandchildren, Jason Dosek - Scottsdale AZ, Justin (Whitney) Otto Greer SC, Kelly Ellis Norfolk, NE, Amanda Goddard (Joe) Cortland, Nicholas Thomas Costa Mesa, CA and Lindsey Emery Lincoln; great grandchildren, Jacob & Taylor Otto, Madison & Morgan Dosek, Shay & Grace Ellis, and Emery & Anna Goddard.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna (Kelly) Emery; son, Lyle "Kit" Emery Jr.; daughter-in-law, Stephanie Emery; brothers, Donald, Warren, Norval; sister, Lucille; parents, Pearl & Jack.
