Richard M. Garbutt, 63, Black River, passed away Wednesday, November 9th, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse.

He is survived by his fiancé' Patricia Burns; his children two daughters and their husbands of Watertown, a son and wife of FL, a son and wife of Watertown, a daughter of Black River,a daughter of Watertown, a daughter of TN, a son of Black River; nine grandchildren; Pat's two sons of Clayton; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews. As well as his extended family and friends.

He was predeceased by his parents, two sons Richard and Shawn Desormeau, his siblings Jackie, Gretchen, John, Bob, Gary and Butch.

Richard was born in Watertown, April 13, 1959, a son to Jack Henry and Hilda Putnam Garbutt.

He worked for many years at Chapin Watermatics and retired as a stone mason at Fort Drum.

Richard was a fun loving, caring man who enjoyed the company of his family and friends, especially his close friends.

He enjoyed a round of golf with friends and listening to the Grateful Dead band. He also volunteered his free time at the Paynter Senior Center in Clayton.

Burial in the Sanford Corners Cemetery, Calcium.
