Obituary:

Anna Lou Lowrie Cassell, 79, passed away on Friday, Feb. 8, 2008, at a local hospice after a courageous battle and lengthy illness. Through it all, she maintained her deep abiding faith in God.
Graveside service: 1 p.m. Monday in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation: 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Biggers Funeral Home.
Anna was born Nov. 30, 1928, in Fort Worth. She graduated from North Side High School in 1945 and attended Texas State College for Women in Denton. She married Charles M. "Jack" Cassell on March 29, 1947.
She was a dedicated homemaker, loving wife, compassionate mother, loyal friend, accomplished cook, secretary, and antiques dealer. She had a passion for western primitives and enjoyed sharing her special finds with family, friends and customers.
Excelling as a confidante, Anna was an engaging conversationalist, who knew how, what and when to say things. She was also able to connect with anyone.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alex Hays "Jack" Lowrie; mother, Laverne O'Neil Lowrie; brother, Harry Lowrie; and a son, Danny Cassell.
Survivors: Husband of 61 years and loving caregiver for the past four years, Charles Cassell of Weatherford; daughter, Linda Dennis and husband, Richard of Gordon; granddaughter, Stephanie Dennis of Kilgore; grandson, Ryan Dennis and wife, Kimberly of Wichita Falls.
