Shelton was a proud former US Marine and a retired drywaller. He loved to travel and was an avid NASCAR fan.
Three sisters and five brothers preceded him in death.
Surviving are his beloved grandson, Coleton Allen Baxley; sister, Kathy Rogers along with her children and grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Kelley; close friend, Amanda McMillion; and neighbors, Gloria, Tessa, Amy and Pam.
