Former Gower Man Found Dead at Sedalia
Sedalia, Mo. (AP)--John T. Marteny, 54, a market operator, was found shot to death this morning, a rifle beside the body in his car parked behind his store.
He lived at Gower, Mo., before coming here several years ago. Survivor include his wife; a daughter, Mrs. Gerald Smith, St. Joseph, and a son, Ed Marteny of the West Indies.
Dr. C. Gordon Stauffacher, coroner, said no inquest would be held.

Services for John T. Marteny, 54, will be at 10 Thursday morning at the Ewing mortuary, Sedalia, Mo. Grave side services will be at the Tobin Cemetery, north of Gower, at 2:30 Thursday.
An additional survivor is his mother, Mrs. Kate Marteny, St. Joseph.
