Born March 1934, fourth generation Sonoma County native, passed peacefully in Santa Rosa on October 23, 2022. Gardening was her passion. She kept beautiful flower and vegetable gardens. Jo-Ann worked for decades at the Sonoma County Office of Education Data Processing until 2006 and loved to tell of working in the historic old post office building downtown before it was moved and became the Sonoma County Museum.
Survived by her son William (Mary) Knight and daughter Carolyn Knight; her granddaughters Michelle (Tyler) Williams and Olivia (Tyler) Kim-Hayes; great grandsons Cameron and Blake Williams and her grand dog Baylee. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Linton Knight, and son Melvin Knight.
At her request no services will be held. Private inurnment. In her memory donations may be made to the Humane Society of Sonoma County. Special thanks to the Sutter Healthcare team for the compassion and care they provided.
