An honorary deacon, a charter member of Arkwright Baptist Church, and had lived in the Arkwright community for 51 years.
Other survivors include his daughters, Mamie Holloway Millwood (1900-1983), Lillie Mae Holloway Hollifield (1904-1984), and Sallie Allen Holloway Moore (1906-1994); son, William Wesley Holloway, Jr. (1908-1960); brothers, Rev. J.G.W. Holloway and Z.V. Holloway; 16 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, June 26, 1949, at Arkwright Baptist Church by Rev. C.L. Chandler, Rev. Timoty Hottel, and Rev. B.L. Wood; burial in Glendale Cemetery.
